Listen to the Future Endowment Campaign

Stability and artistic excellence go hand-in-hand. To ensure our orchestra’s financial stability for the future, Symphony Nova Scotia and the Symphony Nova Scotia Foundation have recently embarked upon the Listen to the Future Endowment Campaign.

Our goal is to raise $5 million to build upon the Symphony Nova Scotia Foundation’s base of almost $3 million. The income generated by the growth of the Symphony Nova Scotia Foundation endowment each year will provide a reliable source of funding for the Symphony.

The Listen to the Future Endowment Campaign is already having a direct impact on Symphony Nova Scotia’s artistic planning and excellence. It encourages us to extend our artistic planning horizon, to connect with the long term visions of other organizations and form creative partnerships that reach even farther into the community, and into the future. 

By supporting the Listen to the Future Endowment Campaign, you will be helping to secure Symphony Nova Scotia’s future as one of Atlantic Canada’s strongest cultural assets, and one of the finest orchestras in the country for generations to come. I hope you will join us.

Ways to give to the Listen to the Future Campaign

The Listen to the Future Endowment Campaign welcomes gifts of all sizes. Giving options include:

• A gift of cash (one-time or through a multi-year pledge)
• The arrangement of monthly automated debit
• The transfer of publicly-traded securities
• The designation of the Symphony Nova Scotia Foundation as a beneficiary in an insurance policy

Leadership gifts can receive special recognition in accordance with the wishes of the donor. Named funds recognizing a donor or a donor’s loved ones represent a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to family and friends.

Leaving a legacy gift to the Listen to the Future Campaign

We invite you to consider making Symphony Nova Scotia part of your legacy in our community. There are several ways you can remember Symphony Nova Scotia with a planned gift, including:

• A gift in your will with intention of cash, securities, stock, real estate, or tangible property
• A designation of the Symphony Nova Scotia Foundation as beneficiary of life insurance
• Life Insurance policies, RRSP, RRIF
