Gaetan Boudreau

Gaetan has an Electrical Engineering degree from École Polytechnique of University of Montreal with a minor in Computer Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering. He is currently completing his M. Sc. in Administration – IT Management at University of Laval, Quebec with a focus on Artificial Intelligence.

Gaetan is a seasoned IT Leader with extensive experience leading teams and organizations through transformative technological change. He has served in IT leadership roles at several major businesses and organizations, including Fundserv, CIBC, BCE Emergis, and the Clinical Research Institute of Montreal. His previous role was Head of Technology and Chief Information Security Officer at a Quebec College.

He has lived in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and now Halifax. He joined Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia in April 2024 as the first Chief Technology Officer for this organization.

From Grade 4 to Grade 12, Gaetan learned classical music (choir and piano) at Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal in Montreal, a world-renowned boy choir from Saint Joseph’s Oratory, performing in concert venues, studio recordings and TV shows. He is also a professional ballroom dancer and was a choreographer and judge at dance competitions.

Joined the Board in 2025. Entering the first year of a one-year term (until 2026) on the Board.
