Grant Machum (B. Comm, LL.B) is a Partner at Stewart McKelvey practicing in the area of employment, labour, and corporate goverance. Grant previously practiced at a national law firm in Toronto and is a member of the bar societies in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. Originally from New Brunswick, Grant and his family moved to Nova Scotia in 1998. Grant is a longtime supporter of arts in his community and nationally. He is Past Chair of the Board of Governors at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University as well as Past Chair of its Governance Committee. He is currently Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of Governance and Human Resources at Telefilm Canada and a Board member of Prescott Group. Grant has served on various management committees of his law firm. In his more distant past, as a university student, Grant worked during the summers for the Saint John Symphony assisting in fundraising. Grant and his wife Jane are actively involved in numerous community fundraising events. They have four teenage children. Grant’s interests include sailing, skiing, and travel.
