Kathleen Franklin  

Treasurer

Kathleen Franklin is the Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs and Registrar with CPA Nova Scotia. She is an alumna of Dalhousie University, earned her Chartered Professional Accountant designation, and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia. Kathleen spent 20 years working in public accounting serving various small business, government, and not-for-profits entities and 10 years working in industry in senior financial leadership positions.

Kathleen started volunteering with Symphony Nova Scotia’s Finance Committee in 2015. Growing up in a musical family, she attained her Grade 10 Royal Conservatory of Music Piano Certification and played the oboe throughout school in various concert bands.

Kathleen resides in Dartmouth with her husband Rob. She enjoys cheering on her children’s athletics and dedicated 10 years to coaching their basketball teams with the ABA Celtics. Kathleen is passionate about music, and she enjoys playing her baby grand and spending time outdoors.

Joined the Board in 2021. Entering the first year of a two-year term (until 2025) as Treasurer of the Board.
