Lisa Bugden

Lisa’s careers spans more than 37 years with leadership roles in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Career highlights include: Supervisor of Media Relations for the 1995 G7 Summit with Foreign Affairs Canada; General Manager, Weber Shandwick Global Public Relations; Vice President of the Province’s business development agency, NSBI; CEO of Film and Creative Industries Nova Scotia; Interim CEO and Director of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia; and General Manager of Neptune Theatre.

Active in the community, Lisa has served on the board or volunteered with the following organizations: Brigadoon Village; Tourism Nova Scotia; The Creative Nova Scotia Leadership Council; Metro United Way – Women United for Change; CAA Atlantic; The IWK Hospital; Sacred Heart School of Halifax; and The Ecology Action Centre.

Lisa enjoys classical music and took singing lessons growing up. Each of her three siblings played a different instrument, and her daughter recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the Royal Academy of Music.

Joined the Board in 2025. Entering the first year of a one-year term (until 2026) on the Board.
