Mark Gosine, K.C., ICD.D

Mark Gosine, K.C., ICD.D is an internationally experienced strategic executive and lawyer with a proven track record for facilitating growth through the execution of complex global transactions. Mark has extensive legal experience both in private practice and in-house, and works closely with Boards and management teams on strategic planning, exploring growth opportunities, and risk management.

Mark played a key role in the international growth of WildBrain (formerly DHX Media) where he was Executive Vice President, Legal Affairs, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, and oversaw all legal and business aspects of WildBrain’s development, production, distribution, and licensing activities. Currently, Mark serves as strategic advisor to Meta Material Inc., a smart materials and photonics company that is changing the way we use, interact, and benefit from light.

Mark commenced his career as a performer after completing the Jazz program at St. Francis Xavier University. Mark went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts (honours) at Saint Mary’s University, and earned a J.D. at Dalhousie University, and ICD.D at the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, the Canadian Bar Association, the Institute of Corporate Directors, and the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association. He is former part-time faculty at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University, and is currently a governor of Saint Mary’s University, and a director of Symphony Nova Scotia.
