Wendy Lee Rees was born in Halifax NS in 1948 and is married to Dr. Elihu Rees. Graduate of Children’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1970, Wendy worked at the IWK Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Unit and held the position of Head Nurse for 10 years.
Volunteer Work: Member of the IWK Auxiliary. Held numerous positions and chaired many committees with the Auxiliary and Kermesse for over 15 years (1983-1998). Was a docent guide for school tours for 5 years (1998-2004) at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. Chaired for the initial two years of the fundraiser Musical Mania for Symphony Nova Scotia. Board Member for the Scotia Festival of Music from 1983-86.
Activities: member of SMU fitness at The Tower for 25 years, regular tennis player, runner, travel (has visited all 7 continents) and gourmet cooking.
Wendy is currently serving a two-year term (until 2015) on the Board.
