Jeremy joined Symphony Nova Scotia in 2014. He holds degrees in Piano Performance and Sound Recording from McGill University and has worked extensively as a collaborative pianist, chamber musician, and recording producer. His passion for classical music production led to the launch of Leaf Music, the first classical music recording label in Atlantic Canada. His chamber and orchestral recordings have received nominations at the East Coast Music Awards and JUNO Awards. He has also lent his skills to TV shows like Trailer Park Boys and This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
He grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick and studied piano and violin from a young age. He also learned to play fiddle music, big band jazz, and was Concertmaster of the NB Youth Orchestra in 2006/07. He studied piano at the 2009 Aspen Summer Music Festival where he met his wife Carrie, who is a violist and music teacher. They moved to Halifax in 2013 and they love cycling, hiking, and kayaking throughout Nova Scotia.
