Education & Diversity Outreach Fund

This program provides valuable cultural and educational experiences to school children within the underserved, diverse, or rural communities that would not otherwise be exposed to symphonic music. Each year, students from various parts of the province attend The Nutcracker, have a small ensemble visit their school, and enjoy Link Up as part of this program.

Symphony Nova Scotia would like to thank Jason Roth and Cheryl Steadman-Roth for establishing the Education & Diversity Outreach Fund in memory of Adel and Imelda Darwish within the Symphony Nova Scotia Foundation.

Symphony Nova Scotia’s Education & Diversity Outreach programs have been inspiring youth across the province for many years through a wide range of offerings. Since 2015, programs funded by Jason and Cheryl have reached nearly 5,000 youth. This year, we were able to reach even more schools and youth than ever before, exposing over 1,900 youth in Nova Scotia’s rural communities to the joy of orchestral music.

Donate today to help us continue sharing the gift of music throughout our province.
