Join Symphony Nova Scotia and your host Brian Current for an evening of discovery, new media, and outstanding music. Hear masterpieces like Charles Ives’ austerely beautiful The Unanswered Question and Claude Vivier’s Lonely Child, widely considered the greatest piece of Canadian music ever written. Then, music meets media with Nicole Lizée’s unorthodox take on The Sound of Music. Finally, French composer’s Martin Matalon’s remix of Un Chien Andalou, the 1928 surrealist short film by Salvador Dali and Spanish director Luis Buñuel, is a must-see for any film buffs interested in how music affects our experience of moving images.

Warning: Un Chien Andalou contains graphic scenes and imagery. Viewer discretion is advised.
