Symphony Nova Scotia launches its classical season with two of the greatest works ever written – and a homegrown world premiere. Hear a brand-new composition from Nova Scotia’s own Dinuk Wijeratne, followed by “born Chopin interpreter” Janina Fialkowska with the glorious melodies of Chopin’s Piano Concerto no. 1. Then, for the grand finale, we perform the one, the only, the almighty Beethoven’s Fifth – a thundering journey from tragedy to triumph, and arguably the single most famous piece of classical music in the world.

Listen to Janina Fialkowska perform Chopin’s Piano Concerto no. 1!
