After 13 years of magnificent music, the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra celebrates its beloved Music Director Dinuk Wijeratne with a thrilling farewell concert. Experience Bizet’s vivid, spirited L’Arlésienne Suites, performed alongside Schumann’s enchanting Cello Concerto with award-winning NSYO alumnus Benjamin Marmen. Then, for the grand finale, Dinuk conducts Dvořák’s dramatic, adventurous, and joyful Symphony No. 8 – a fitting personal farewell to the orchestra he praises as “ever-willing to rise to a challenge, and forever alive to possibility.”
