Family Series: Music That Makes Us Happy

Gary Ewer, conductor
Symphony Nova Scotia
Sponsored by

Symphony Nova Scotia takes you on a delightful jaunt through music that’s meant to make you happy! Hear an upbeat variety of cheerful, exhilarating gems like Scott Joplin’s Maple Leaf Rag, Florence Price’s Juba Dance, Mussorgsky’s Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks, and more!

We welcome children on the autism spectrum and their parents. Our family shows are designed to be participatory, relaxed, and informal. We encourage children to be active and involved in our orchestral performances. Vocalizations, movements, and taking breaks are all part of the fun!

"Watch your children come alive as they hear music picked, played, and presented with their needs in mind. It will be a treat for them and a treat for you, and the beginning of a lifelong love of music!"

–Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, Family concert conductor
