Symphony Nova Scotia
Richard Wagner: Siegfried Idyll
Beethoven: Symphony No. 3, “Eroica”
Symphony Nova Scotia’s Music Director Laureate Bernhard Gueller returns to Halifax for a compelling, deeply moving concert of three major symphonic masterworks. First is Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll, an intimate, astonishingly beautiful love letter from a father to his family. Then, hear Mahler’s moving Kindertotenlieder, sung by baritone Brett Polegato with his “burnished, well-focused voice” (New York Times). Finally, Maestro Gueller leads Symphony Nova Scotia in Beethoven’s mighty “Eroica” Symphony – a stunning, jaw-dropping triumph that singlehandedly changed the course of music history.
This concert will be repeated at Alderney Landing Theatre in Dartmouth. For details and ticket info, please click here.
