Brahms’ monumental Symphony No. 4 is a moving, emotional masterwork, beloved for its deep intensity, majestic grandeur, and compelling, lyrical beauty. Hear Symphony Nova Scotia’s expanded orchestra perform this great work for the first time in a decade, in a rich concert program that also includes Mahler’s poignant Songs of a Wayfarer and Beethoven’s beloved Leonore Overture. Plus, hear the orchestra’s first-ever performance of Cherubini’s Anacréon Overture, a dashing, delightful work that’s been a popular favourite since its creation.

SPECIAL NOTICE:
Symphony Nova Scotia regrets that its 2017/18 concert lineup will no longer feature RAM Koor, the Estonian National Male Choir. The choir’s planned 2017 Canadian tour has unfortunately been cancelled, due to an unexpected reduction in the Estonian Government’s financial support for international touring.

Ticket buyers have the option to attend the newly-programmed concert, exchange their tickets for the concert of their choice, or receive a full refund. Anyone who wishes to exchange or refund their tickets should contact the Dalhousie Arts Centre Box Office at 902.494.3820 as soon as possible.

Symphony Nova Scotia apologizes for any inconvenience these changes have caused. Anyone with questions or comments is welcome to contact Symphony Nova Scotia’s Admin Office at 902.421.1300 or info@symphonyns.ca.
