Howard Cable was the Symphony’s beloved Pops Conductor Laureate, taking audiences on so many wonderful symphonic journeys before his passing in 2016 at age 96. As an expression of his powerful connection to our orchestra, he left his entire music library to Symphony Nova Scotia. We pay tribute to his genius and generosity in this specially curated program with the music of Henry Mancini, Quincy Jones, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and more as performed by the fantastic JUNO Award-winning saxophonist Mike Murley.
