For the first time since 2007, Symphony Nova Scotia will bring an inspiring symphonic experience to eight communities around the province!* Our provincial tour program features the crowning achievement of Louise Farrenc, one of France’s greatest 19th-century composers; the expressive and spirited Cello Concerto in C Major, richly interpreted by Nova Scotia’s own world-renowned cellist, Denise Djokic; Dinuk Wijeratne’s Yatra, a work we commissioned to celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial; and a new composition especially for our 40th anniversary from Symphony Nova Scotia bassoonist and composer L. Christopher Palmer.

* The Symphony will also perform one school concert for students in New Glasgow.
