Music by Bach, Handel, Telemann, Rameau, Fasch, Heinichen, and more

Between a new marriage, new music, and an exciting new job opportunity, 1722 was an eventful year for Johann Sebastian Bach! In this delightful journey back to 18th-century Europe, Symphony Nova Scotia joins forces with baroque specialist Ivars Taurins and a variety of special guests to explore this busy new chapter in Bach’s life. We’ll also hear highlights from the influential musicians who were changing the face of music in Europe, like Handel and Telemann, performed alongside some of Bach’s own iconic masterpieces – including the beautiful Bist du bei mir – in this fascinating, entertaining concert with one of Canada’s top baroque music masters.
