Handel’s Royal Fireworks Music is a festive, fabulous showstopper that’s been called “a dozen stirring fanfares rolled into one.” At its premiere in 1749, nearly 12,000 people packed the concert hall, causing a traffic jam that closed London Bridge for several hours. The popularity of this explosive dance suite in five movements remains today – festive, bright, and strong. Plus, JUNO Award-winning Canadian soprano Hélène Brunet brings beauty and expression to this concert led by Symphony Nova Scotia’s Principal Baroque Leader, Julia Wedman.
