Experience an energetic, enthusiastic concert full of rhythm, fire, and magic with the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra! Join our fabulous young musicians for a thrilling adventure through Brahms’ jubilant Hungarian Dances, Haydn’s exhilarating “Military” Symphony, and vivacious highlights from Mozart and Casadesus, with solo performances from two award-winning local young musicians. Finally, Mi’kmaw poet and activist Rebecca Thomas joins us for We’re Not Done Drumming, a captivating, lyrical new work that listeners called “wonderful” and “very powerful” at its 2019 Halifax premiere.

Please note: this concert is approximately one hour long with no intermission.

Here are a couple handy tips when booking tickets on the Dalhousie Box Office website:

  • Our Fall 2021 concerts are general admission, so you will NOT be reserving exact seats in advance.
  • You’ll be asked to log in to book your tickets. If you’re not sure you have an account, click “Forgot your password?”
  • You’ll need to agree to COVID-19 policies before checking out.
  • You’ll need to choose a Delivery Method:
    • If you choose “Hold at Box Office”, you’ll need to pick up your tickets when you arrive, up to 1 hour before the concert.
    • If you choose “Print at Home”, your ticket will be included with your confirmation email as a PDF attachment.
  • You will receive an email confirmation from [email protected].
