It’s a joyful, hugely popular masterpiece, famed for its catchy tunes, exuberant grace, and grandstanding finale. Hear Tchaikovsky’s beloved Second Symphony with the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra! Virtuoso violinist Mark Lee also joins the orchestra for two showpieces from Sarasate: the furious, flashy Introduction and Tarantella and the arching, beautiful Zigeunerweisen. Plus, hear a new work from Acadia grad Carmen Braden, a “talented, bold musician” (Up Here Magazine) whose music has been described as “drop-dead gorgeous” (Ottawa Citizen).

This concert will also be performed at First United Church in Truro.
