Rebecca Thomas is a Mi’kmaw activist, author, and spoken word artist; the former Poet Laureate of Halifax/Kjipuktuk; and the author of I’m Finding My Talk, an illustrated book about rediscovering community and finding culture. Now, in this brand-new Pjila’si Sessions recording from Symphony Nova Scotia, Rebecca partners with our orchestra to create an all-new multimedia experience of I’m Finding My Talk – featuring Rebecca’s spoken-word poetry, Mi’kmaw artist Pauline Young’s vibrant illustrations, and composer India Gailey’s moving orchestrations.
