The Library Series

Bring your lunch and listen to beautiful music, accompanied by informative, entertaining stories about the composers. These concerts are hosted by Symphony Nova Scotia bassist Max Kasper, and feature the Symphony Nova Scotia Library Players, as well as perennial favourites the Gatto Dolce Duo. All concerts begin at 12:00 noon.

Celebrate the 26th year of noon-hour library concerts with a special look at some of your favourite composers. Join us for wonderful chamber music and stories to illustrate the composer’s lives.

THE SEVEN VIRTUES

Join Max and the amazing Lee family as the Library Players look at some composers who exhibited the seven virtues: Reason, Justice, Temperance, Courage, Faith, Hope, and Love. Music by Bach, Hindemith, Puccini, Mozart, Telemann, and more.

Join the Gatto Dolce Duo as they once again explore the funny side of composers who best exemplified the seven sins: Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth, and Wrath. Music by Beethoven, Dragonetti, Sibelius, Matthews, and Rossini, to name a few.
