Exclusive Murdoch Mysteries in Concert Meet & Greet with star host Thomas Craig on sale now!
Halifax/K’jipuktuk, NS – Symphony Nova Scotia is proud to present Murdoch Mysteries in Concert, a captivating and immersive concert experience celebrating the music of CBC’s hit series Murdoch Mysteries. The concerts will take place on Sept. 27 and 28, 2024 at 7:30 pm at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax, NS.
This unique musical experience brings together the worlds of classical music and detective fiction with special star host Thomas Craig – famous for his role as Inspector Brackenreid – and original music by the show’s longtime composer, Emmy Award-nominated Robert Carli.
The event features a masterclass breakdown of the score with Carli himself followed by a screening of the episode “Murder in F Major” from Season 16 of the show, with a stunning musical performance of the episode’s soundtrack by Symphony Nova Scotia conducted by Lucas Waldin.
Ticket holders will also have an exclusive opportunity to attend a post-show Meet & Greet with Thomas Craig. This limited availability add-on experience is sold separately through Eventbrite.
Murdoch Mysteries in Concert has been a popular experience for fans of the hit CBC series in venues across Canada, but this will be the first time the program is being performed in Atlantic Canada.
“We’re so excited to bring this innovative concert experience to the Maritimes,” says Symphony CEO Chris Wilkinson. “Longtime fans of the show and those looking for a fun new experience will appreciate this one-of-a-kind multimedia event with live orchestral soundtrack, interactive segments, and exciting on-site experiences.”
“Following the massive success of presenting Murdoch Mysteries in Concert in Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Edmonton, we are thrilled to be taking this Murdoch experience to the East Coast,” says Christina Jennings, Chairman and President, Shaftesbury. “Fans in Halifax will get to enjoy two wonderful nights of Murdoch and music with host Thomas Craig and our longtime composer Rob Carli.”
