The youngest of seven children, thirteen-year-old Barnabas first started violin at the age of four through the Brandon Suzuki Talent Education Program (STEP) in Manitoba. He was inspired by his older brothers and wanted to follow in their footsteps by playing the violin. He enjoys sharing his music with people to inspire and to bring joy.
Barnabas has been an active member of the group Nova Scotia Youth Ambassadors (NSYA) for two years, performing in different venues including the cruise ship and the Royal International Tattoo. This is his first year with the NSYO and he is excited to be playing at the same rehearsals and concerts together with his two sisters. Barnabas also looks forward to making new friends and advancing his violin skills in the NSYO.
Barnabas has an aspiration to become an astronaut one day and play the violin in the International Space Station! Besides playing the violin, Barnabas is a competitive swimmer in the Halifax Trojans Aquatic Club, and enjoys playing football and Spikeball with his siblings.
