Evan is a Grade 11 student at NNEC in New Glasgow, NS. This is his third season with the NSYO. Evan joined the NSYO at the end of the 2021/22 season for the NSYO’s presentation of Light in the Forest and has been hooked ever since! In addition to percussion, Evan plays the trombone in his school jazz and concert bands as well as the Nova Scotia Youth Wind Ensemble. Evan also enjoys singing; in addition to the NNEC Choir program, Evan was excited to be part of the Nova Scotia Youth Choir in 2024. This year you will find him on stage as the Tin Man in NNEC’s production of The Wizard of Oz. When not at rehearsal Evan can be found on the rugby pitch where he is part of his high school team as well as the Nova Scotia Keltics program. Evan was thrilled to be part of the percussion section for the 2024 National Youth Band tour and is looking forward to another amazing season with the NSYO!
