Henry Orford

Henry Orford is a trumpet player from Charlottetown, PEI. He is a graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island, majoring in music and minoring in anthropology. He currently studies at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. Since returning to his home of PEI in 2015, Henry has been a valuable member of island ensembles including the PEI Symphony Orchestra, the UPEI Wind Symphony, the Confederation Brass Quintet, and the Charlottetown Jazz Ensemble.  A personal highlight of Henry’s classical music career was serving as Principal Trumpet for the PEI Symphony Orchestra’s 2019 performance of Gustav Mahler’s third symphony.  Additionally, he has collaborated with contemporary ensembles including the Paper Lions, an internationally popular pop-rock band, and I And The Village, a world music collective.  Henry looks forward to continuing his trumpet playing with the NSYO.
