Joseph Yurchesyn lives in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia with his parents and siblings. He is in Grade 12 at Prince Andrew High School and this is Joseph’s first year in the NSYO. Joseph has been playing trumpet for six years and has experience in multiple different ensembles. He has been a competitive summer swimmer for 10 years and is a certified Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor. Joseph has also participated in his school’s musical, Mamma Mia, and was a recipient of the 2020 HRM Volunteer Award. Upon completion of high school, Joseph plans to do a music degree at Dalhousie University.
