“It’s been such a pleasure to help curate this series of Fusion Sessions with the whole team – every guest is a local treasure, and has been a beloved collaborator of Symphony Nova Scotia for years. And while I can’t get over the border to put my arms to use, I’ve been present through live audio stream, hearing the way rehearsals have progressed and offering suggestions when I can.

“We’ve thought very carefully about the ensembles we’ve brought together for each session, and it’s been a joy to hear the instrument cases clicking open, friendly banter filling the space before the musicians tune, and that magical moment of inhalation just before the first note speaks. My thanks to our guests for joining us – it is such an honour to play alongside you – and to our own musicians who’ve stepped into the role of chamber musicians, ensemble directors, and soloists this season.
