Kaisa is in her third year of her Music Performance degree at Acadia University. She has been playing the bassoon for eight years and the piano for 14 years. This is her third year of playing with the NSYO. Prior to NSYO, she played with the Nova Scotia Youth Wind Ensemble (NSYWE)  from 2017 to 2020. She played with the Acadia Symphonic Band for the 2021/22 season, and is now playing with the Acadia University Wind Ensemble.

When she’s not playing her bassoon, she spends her time crocheting, learning French and German, camping, composing, and playing her ocarinas.
