Lydia Macdonald

Co-Concertmaster

Lydia MacDonald is the seventh child in a musical family of eight children. She has been playing violin, cello, and piano for several years and is her brother’s professional page turner. From a young age, she has loved and greatly appreciated music in her everyday life and in the music ministry of her church. Lydia has completed many music RCM exams and participated in numerous Kiwanis Music Festivals. As a violinist, she has been a member of the Dalhousie Symphony Orchestra for two seasons and is pleased to participate in her third NSYO season.

Outside the practice room, Lydia can be found gallivanting through the woods, reading books, and having many adventures with her family. She is in Grade 12 and plans to study music and composition at university next fall.
