Julia Kent

Julia Kent is the Director of Social Responsibility & Advocacy at CAA Atlantic. She joined CAA National in 2015 as Manager of Public Affairs and transitioned to CAA Atlantic in 2018 as Director of Public & Government Affairs.

Prior to CAA, Julia held various roles in public relations and journalism, including with the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, the National Arts Centre, and Bell Media. A former broadcast journalist and performer, Julia is a natural spokesperson, speaker, and presenter who makes regular media appearances in both official languages.

Julia is a graduate of Carleton University’s Bachelor of Journalism program and an International Baccalaureate graduate of the Halifax Grammar School. She is a Board member with the Halifax Citadel Society. In the past, Julia was the sponsorship chair for the Canadian Red Cross Humanitarian of the Year Awards Dinner, the communications chair for the Carleton University Alumni Association, and the industry relations manager for IABC Ottawa. She also participates and raises funds annually for the Parkinson SuperWalk in Halifax.

The arts played a key role in Julia’s youth, including musical theatre, dance, piano, and clarinet. She is passionate about the performing arts and looks forward to contributing to Symphony Nova Scotia’s future success.

Julia lives in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia with her husband and three children.
